Last update:
USPS made its first shipping rate adjustment on January 22, 2023; a second shipping rate increase is effective on July 9, 2023. ShipSaving recommends that sellers review the specific USPS price adjustments in time to see if these changes impact shipping costs.
USPS said these price adjustments are intended to help balance its operating costs with the demand for its services and ensure that USPS can provide high-quality shipping services to the public.
The Postal Service is also seeking price adjustments for Special Services products, including Certified Mail, Post Office Box rental fees, money order fees, and the cost to purchase insurance when mailing an item. And ShipSaving will follow up with synchronized updates of all information.
In the following article, ShipSaving will present which services have price changes compared to January 2023. Combined with the information published by USPS, the next price adjustments will take effect:
The increase will raise the price of First Class Mail by about 5.4 percent, with the new rates including that the price for 1-ounce metered mail will increase to $0.63, and the price to send a domestic postcard will increase to $0.51. A 1-ounce letter mailed to another country would increase to $1.50.
